REPTILE PRESENTATIONS
We currently have 2 options available for presentations:
*Fees listed are for public education institutions and groups only. We do birthday and private presenatations as well please contact us for rates. We are a volunteer run rescue and depend on program fees and donations for the operation of the sanctuary and rescue. All fees go directly to the care of the animals for food, shelter, vet expenses, and daily upkeep.
OPTION A:
We will send an experienced animal keeper with public speaking skills to provide your facility with:
A full presentation and lecture from 60 to 80 minutes for group's of approx 30 per presentation
Hands on touch and feel - everyone in the audience gets a chance to touch a reptile if they want to. (You may also choose to have a touch free presentation) We provide waterless hand sanitizer for before and after any physical contact with reptiles.
Question and answers - lots of time is allotted for a questions period. Everyone learns during these sessions.
Live animals - we will display 7 to 9 or more live reptiles of various ages and sizes. We typically bring several small to medium snakes, 2 large pythons, large monitor lizard, large tortoise, and a small American Alligator.
Lecture Topic:
These lectures cover all aspects of reptile behavior; identification, habitat, environmental impact and more! As the audience gets to know these unusual creatures, they also are presented with an appreciation of the importance of conservation. Interesting myths and legends are also included throughout the presentation. Great for elementary schools preK-through-6th, Also Jr.High & High school presentations can be arranged by lecture content and or specific species.
Fees: $50.00 per show for local shows
Option B:
Option B provides the host institution with the flexibility of designing a day of scheduled presentations. Show can be moved from class to class or stationary for the day.
Taking the principals of Option A, but repeating the presentations at a discounted rate. Two to Six shows can be scheduled throughout the day.
Fees:
2 shows approx. 60 min.each $75.00 total
3 shows approx. 60 min.each $100.00 total
4 shows approx. 60 min.each $125.00 total
5 shows approx. 60 min.each $150.00 total
6 or more shows (wholeday) $175.00 Total (not to exceed 8 hours total)
